The BYC High Performance
Sail Faster
Weekly Instructional Series

 

Join us at BYC Every Wednesday evening from Jan.6th to Feb 24th, 2010. 

This seminar series hosted by The Barrie Yacht Club is designed to improve your sailing and racing skills and will appeal to most new and intermediate-level sailors. Each session will feature a 45-minute presentation and a question and answer period.

If you own a Boat, if you Race or Crew, and you aspire to win sailboat races or just improve your results, then this seminar series is for you!

Attend these sessions, and you will learns tips, tricks and techniques for improving boat handling and crew work, flying spinnakers and training crew. You'll also learn how to simplify sail trim and rig tuning, improve boat speed, read the wind, win starts, and organize a crew...and more!

Individual Session Topics will include:

  • Sail Trim Fundamentals & Sail Controls
  • Boat Preparation & Maintenance
  • Navigation
  • Racing Tactics
  • Rules
  • Crew Position Simulations and Crew Management...and more! 
Location: BYC Clubhouse @ 7 P.M. - Wednesday nights from January 6th-February 24th at BYC.

success racing at BYC on different types of keelboats including Tanzer 22, Niagara 26, Kirby 25,  C&C 33, and now sails at Thornbury Yacht Club with his wife Janice aboard their Beneteau 42.
